Are Online Casino games trustworthy?

REEMPIRE888 asked:

I want to try out the online casinos (play for money) but I’m wondering these online casinos are just online video games, that in turn, is a fixed program, so the edge is obiviously on their side. On top of that, I guarantee you that whoever created these game programs can let the user (casino) adjust the odds of winnings. Does anyone have a good idea how this work before I blow my money online or should I just play the real thing in a real casino.

Choose only an eCOGRA-certified online casino – all these are 100% legit.

My personal favorite is Spin Palace Casino. They’ve been around for what seems like forever and have probably the best reputation of all online casinos.

They offer new players a free money welcome bonus of up to $150 free, £150 free or 150 euros free. Depends on which currency works best for you really and they offer other currencies too.

I’ve always received really fast payouts when I’ve cashed in. I highly recommend them.

In my experience of playing at online casinos over the past 2+ years, most online casinos are trustworthy. That being said, the edge is on their side, but in the same way that the edge is on the side of the house in land-based casinos — all casino games have a built-in house edge.

You have a couple of options.

    1) Go with someone else’s recommendation. I think that the best online casino is Casino Grand Bay:

I have been playing there for some time, and am confident that their games are on the level. Also, the customer service folks are very helpful when I have questions about deposits, withdrawals, and bonuses. You can play in Practice mode at Casino Grand Bay as well.

    2) Try various online casinos, utilizing their free no-deposit bonuses to try their software. GaminGoogle has a current, accurate list of over 50 casinos that offer free no-deposit bonuses just for downloading their software and registering:

Most bonuses are 10 $/€/£, but some are more.

Be aware that all of these sites have a ‘wagering requirement’ (also called a ‘playthrough requirement’) that must be met before you can make a withdrawal. This will usually be listed as a multiple of the free chips that you are given — for example 15x, 20x, 25x, or more. This requirement will be listed in the site’s Terms and Conditions, so be sure to read them before you start.

In addition to the wagering requirement, some of these sites will have a maximum withdrawal amount — meaning there is a limit to how much money you can actually win. You’ll want to be aware of this in case you start winning and surpass the maximum withdrawal amount. If you are lucky enough to do this, then STOP and take the cash. Any maximum withdrawal amount will be listed in the Terms and Conditions.

Finally, some of these sites will have a minimum withdrawal amount in addition to the wagering requirement. This means that you will need to win at least a certain amount before you can make a withdrawal. This will also be listed in the site’s Terms and Conditions.

    Best of luck!
    Robert

I have played online casinos for years. I have won some and lost some. I only trust those that are licenced and regulated, and I have never had any problems.

There is a good list here – also lots of free money offers.

It doesn’t matter whether you play at a land based casino or an online casino as the odds are in their favour as they are there to make a profit. I prefer the online casinos as opposed to playing at a land based casino, mainly as I don’t care for the crowds.

Playing online gives me the opportunity to put the game I’m playing on hold and to go to do something else. You definitely can’t do that in a land based casino.

I definitely prefer to play at the microgaming casinos as I have had the best of luck playing at their different online casinos. I do prefer 32red casino, Roxy palace, riverbelle, liucky nugget, ruby fortune as well as many others.

Check out the following two online gambling websites which have a good offering of microgaming online casinos.

Online Casino games are not rigged. The cards and everything are just as random as in Vegas, but remember like Vegas the house has the advantage.

If a site like has a positive review of the site, then I’d trust it.

I don’t think there is much difference. When you play in a casino you are probably gonna loose your money, just at a slower rate. The online casinos would not make any money if they did not allow people to win now and then. That’s the same for the real casinos. I would think it would be much easier to get hooked on gambling with an online casino. I would stay away from both of them.

Yes. But stick with ones registered in countries that are well regulated. The UK is definitely best as it is stable, regulated and a very competitive market.

Dont trust most of the answers here that are promoting their own site. Check out somewhere independent, e.g.

The best thing you can do is look for online casinos that have their monthly payouts audited by a firm such as Price Waterhouse Coopers. You can find casinos like this at

I also recommend that you try some casinos with free chip offers too where you can play for real money without risking any of your own at first. There are some very good offers at

    Good luck and have fun!
