   General song?
   In any ‘emo’ song it just means emo, the genre that came FROM emotional ********.
   When referring to people, i spose it meansemotional TODAY, but it didn’t used to. Its different today then it used to be, because now people can’t tell the difference between a stereotype and the actual thing, so the stereotype BECAME the actual thing.

   yeah emo is a genre, but when used in refernce to a person or general song it means there emotional. You don’t see a kid and be like “dude, that kid is so emotional hardcore” so yes emo is now a genre but in context it also refers to someone simply being emotional.

   emo is the genre, now at least. the WORD EMO came from ‘emotional hardcore’ which went back to ‘EMOCORE’
   and got shorteneed to EMO. sorry dude, ur wrong.

   Sorry to say, but ur wrong. emo is short for emotional hardcore, shortened as emocore.
   The genre originates from pop punk and melodic ********.

    OK just to clear this up (mainly becuz im pissed with pretty much everybody on this comments page)–
    EMO is actually short for emotional,
    its short for EMOCORE OR EMOTIONAL ******** which is a MUSIC GENRE originating from pop punk, and melodic ********.
    If were talking about jimmy eat world, THAT IS WAT WE MEAN BY EMO!

    well you shuldt say any thing about what kind of music peple listin to. like im mexican and i get a lot of **** from my couin because i listin to this kind of music, it gets old! so if they like tokeyo hotell beter it’s there type of music. so let it be!

    I’m pretty sure the term emo is for people who don’t have a wide enough musical vocabulary to be able to describe music without labeling it.

    bands like these made glam rock.
    tokio hotel is ****.
    when they started here in germany only little brats with no idea of real music listened to tokio hotel. but after 2 or 3 months tokio hotel was already “out”.
    and then they recorded all their german songs with english lyrics to have international success.
    i don´t know what you think but i don´t like them. it´s a group of non-talented misfits.
    thats my opinion of tokio hotel.

    btw. jimmy eat world rocks ^^

    Look, i don’t know you so I don’t care. But I could have swore the term EMO was short for emotional. By the term i would think the definition would be some or a band in this case that talks about feelings and such…correct me if i’m wrong
